The Main Window contains a number of standard features, described below.
Drag - the edges / corners of the Main Window with your mouse to change the size / shape of the Main Window on your screen.

The Title Bar appears at the top of the Main Window. It contains the features described below.
Double-click - anywhere in the Title Bar (other than the Control Box, Minimise Box, Maximise Box, Restore Box or Close Box) to maximise or restore the Main Window - does the same as clicking the Maximise Box or the Restore Box.
Drag - anywhere in the Title Bar (other than the Control Box, Minimise Box, Maximise Box, Restore Box or Close Box) with your mouse to move the Main Window round your screen.

Control Box - Click this for a Menu with the following items.
Restore - Does the same as clicking the Restore Box.
Move - Does the same as dragging the Title Bar of the Main Window to move the Main Window round your screen. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard and press Enter when you have finished.
Size - Does the same as dragging the edges / corners of the Main Window to change the size / shape of the Main Window on your screen. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard and press Enter when you have finished.
Minimise - Does the same as clicking the Minimise Box.
Maximise - Does the same as clicking the Maximise Box.
Close - Shortcut Alt+F4 - Does the same as the Exit command on the File Menu.
Double-click the Control Box to do the same thing.

Heading - This shows the name of the application, "PhotoFrame Manager" and, in square brackets, the name of the current PhotoCollection Document.
If the name of the PhotoCollection Document has an asterisk ("*") after it, it means that you have made changes to the PhotoCollection Document that have not yet been saved.

If the current PhotoCollection Document Window is not maximised, the Heading in the Title Bar changes, as shown here, so that it just shows "PhotoFrame Manager".

Minimise Box - Click this to minimise the Main Window to the Windows ® Task Bar.

Maximise Box - Click this to maximise the Main Window so that it fills the whole of your screen.

Restore Box - If the Main Window is already maximised, the Maximise Box changes to a Restore Box. Click it to restore the Main Window to its previous, unmaximised, state.

Close Box - Click this to close PhotoFrame Manager.

The menu bar appears below the Title Bar. See the following pages for details of each of the Menus.
If the current PhotoCollection Document Window is maximised, the Menu Bar also contains the Control Box, Minimise Box, Restore Box and Close Box from the PhotoCollection Document Window's Title Bar, as shown above.

If the current PhotoCollection Document Window is not maximised, the Menu Bar does not contain these extra features and appears as shown here.

The Tool Bar appears below the Menu Bar.
It can be hidden / displayed using the Toolbar command from the View Menu.
The Tool Bar contains the following Tools.

File New - Clicking this does the same as the New command from the File Menu.

File Open - Clicking this does the same as the Open command from the File Menu.

File Save - Clicking this does the same as the Save command from the File Menu.

Edit Undo - Clicking this does the same as the Undo command from the Edit Menu.

Edit Redo - Clicking this does the same as the Redo command from the Edit Menu.
As shown here, if a Tool is not currently available, it is greyed out. Clicking it then does nothing.

Help About - Clicking this does the same as the About command from the Help Menu.

The Status Bar appears at the bottom of the Main Window.
It can be hidden / displayed using the Status Bar command from the View Menu.
If you open a Menu and hover over an Item in it, the Status Bar show a short description of what the Menu Item does.
When PhotoFrame Manager is idle, the Status Bar shows "Ready".
Each PhotoCollection Document that you open is shown in a Document Window (or several Document Windows - see the New Window command on the Window Menu) within the Main Window.

Title Bar - Like the Main Window, each PhotoCollection Document Window has a Title Bar with a Control Box (with a Menu), a Heading, a Minimise Box, a Maximise Box and a Close Box. These work in the same way as the features on the Main Window Title Bar except that they control the appearance of the PhotoCollection Document Window within the Main Window rather than the appearance of the Main Window on your screen.
Control Box - The Menu has an extra item Next (Shortcut Ctrl+F6) to switch to the next PhotoCollection Document Window. The Shortcut for the Close Menu Item is Ctrl+F4.
Close Box - The Close Box closes the PhotoCollection Document Window and also closes the PhotoCollection Document if there are no more PhotoCollection Document Windows open on that PhotoCollection Document.
Heading - The Heading just shows the name of the current PhotoCollection Document, with an asterisk ("*") after it if you have made changes to the PhotoCollection Document that have not yet been saved.
Panes - Each PhotoCollection Document Window contains several separate Panes described on the following pages.
